Cool pick of Andy at Blues Festival

I've been playing and singing now for about  20 years, My first inspiration was Paul Jones,  When I thought, "Hey" that looks cool I'll  give it a go. I`ve been blowing and singing ever  since.Having always fronted my own band,    I’ve never felt the need to join anybody  else’

However I have met some interesting  Blues guys along the road Ronnie Earl, Kim  Wilson, Darrell Nulisch (Ex -front man for  Anson and the Rockets) they were only too  pleased to talk Blues, especially Kim and Darrel  and that’s good because its great to get  feedback from the guys that inspire you, and the future, well I will just keep writing new material and keep blowing that harmonica.

I look forward to getting back in the studio and recording that next c.d.!

Mark McLaughlin on Double BassI've been fortunate enough to play for Andy Lee's band for the last 3 years now. Prior to joining the Bluecats I'd played for numerous covers & functions bands,- but I'd been looking for an opportunity like this for a long time & fortunately my patience paid off.

I mainly take my influences from John McVie( Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac )and Tommy Shannon (Stevie Ray Vaughans Double Trouble)although there must be more in there somewhere. I'll be incorporating the double bass more in the near future, it emphasises the overall sound and looks fantastic too.

Andy Lee & the Bluecats are a hard working band who have developed an original hard edged harmonica driven style of blues.

Coupled with Howard Normans superb guitar playing and Alan Savages solid drum work, we're attracting more exposure & bigger audiences.

Alan Savage on Drums

It goes without saying that blues is where I'm at, and this band is where I want to concentrate my efforts. We've developed such a good tight sound, and with the arrival of the next c.d and Andy on that big chromatic harmonica things can only get better.

As far as my hopes for ‘Andy Lee & The Bluecats’ go, well obviously as a blues lover my biggest ambition is to be recognized as a solid, inventive and exciting Blues outfit and to be playing some of the great blues venues and festivals . And looking to the future? Well, more of the same . ONLY BIGGER & BETTER!
