The
place was heaving, and as if by magic the sky cleared and the temperature
soared it was gonna be hot-un. The Stadium ,for those of you who have
never been inside is a lot bigger than you would think, the only sinario
I can think of is Dr Who`s Tardis (a British Sci-fi series with D.I.Y
monsters). As big as it is ,when the band arrived there were so many
people there was`nt room to even set up.
David
Hackshall had really gone to town this time, with all his business trips
to the States some of the Americanism`s are certainly rubbing off.
Outside the front of the Stadium
was one of those Bucking Bronco thangs, you know the sort of thing that
whizzes round faster and faster gyrating and spinning, bobbing and weaving
with ever increasing speed, until it removes the offending human from
it`s back. The compare, I must say was excellent encouraging everyone
to get up and have a go adults and children a like. To keep the Wild
west theme gong members were encouraged to dress up as cowboys-cowgirls.
No one needed to ask them twice. Stetsons ,boots, guns, holsters with
bullets, and that John Wayne swagger and all they needed was the line
dancing -------- I don`t think so. Needless to say the beer and food
was in good supply and the day was hot and long, it didn`t want to end.
The Bluecats played on with their usual professional enthusiasm to a
very happy crowd.
A
good day was had by one and all. |
